Outfits Fit for a Wedding Guest

Wedding season is upon us people! And if you're anything like me then the minute you get that invitation, you're frantically scrolling through ASOS trying to find that perfect floor length number that doesn't show too much flesh but also means you might grab the attention of one of the single ushers.

To help take the stress out of finding the perfect frock, I thought I'd share a few of my favourite "wedding guest" appropriate dresses with you. Now in the name of honest blog reviews I have to mention that three of the four above were sent to me by the guys over at Tobi. They contacted me a few weeks ago and asked me to chose some dresses from their collection to review on the blog. I've worn two of them to events already and let's just say I'm pretty obsessed.

So. Onto the outfits.

Maaaaaaaan I'm in love with this dress. If god could ask me to design my perfect dress this would be it. It's got frills, a plunging neck line and a split up the front that allows you to glide into a room with the elegance of Grace Kelly. The wrap around feature of this (that you can't really see in these pictures) really adds something different as well. I wore this to my friends wedding this weekend and I loved how it made me feel. One thing I would mention though is the need for tit tape on the front section. I'm hardly blessed in the boob area so I can get away without wearing a bra but If you happen to be a larger boobed girl, this may cause you some issues. I teamed the dress up with a sparkly gold clutch and some cute strappy heels. I bought both quite a while ago now but I've found some similar shoes HERE from ASOS and a similar clutch HERE from Coast.

When it comes to black dresses I sometimes think that simple is best. This criss cross neck number is so elegant and feels gorgeous on. The fabric is heavy enough for it to fit well in all the right places and the tie back helps you cinch it in around the waist. I'm going to be wearing this to my best friends engagement party in a few weeks and I really can't wait! I wore my cute pom pom block heels with this from Stradivarius.

I think this is the perfect garden wedding dress. It's so comfy to wear and the colour is so summer appropriate. I've never worn orange before but I just couldn't resist the pleat and lace combo. My only slight complaint with this is the fact that the neck line could do with being slightly lower. Perhaps I'm just being a bit picky though. This dress looks great teamed up with some wedges. I went with my Kurt Geiger ones which unfortunately aren't available in stores anymore. They do have a brown version though; not quite rose gold but gorgeous all the same!

I'm a sucker for a scalloped hem. This dress is so simple but makes such a statement. I recently wore this out for the Gay Pride celebrations in my home town, Brighton (head over to my Instagram HERE to check out how I styled it for that) but here I ditched the glitter and space buns. The neck line on this is pretty low so I tend to wear it with this little bralette from Primark.
