Settling In and Feeling Grateful

Moving into a new home is always a bit daunting. I was pretty worried when I moved out of my Grandmothers because I wasn't sure I'd ever feel comfortable in a place again after leaving the flat I shared with my ex. I was so relieved that after a few weeks I started to feel normal and like this was definitely my safe place.

Looking back I think I was quite unhappy for the first half of 2017. I definitely felt like my life was on hold and I couldn't fully move on from everything that had happened towards the end of the year. Now I'm settled though I feel so much better. I feel like I'm completely happy on my own doing my own thing and I'm not relying on anything or anyone to make me happy. I'm actually capable of doing that on my own now which I'm so pleased about.

I've been spending the last month or so trying really hard to think positively. Most nights before I go to sleep I think about three things from the day that I'm thankful for. These three things can be anything from nice weather, a yummy dinner or time spent chatting to someone who made me laugh. After I've thought about the things I'm grateful for I think about all the things that I want out of my life. To have a successful blog, pay off my debt, meet the right guy. Sometimes I even think of specific people who I want to be happy and healthy. I genuinely believe that if you think positive thoughts and believe you'll get where you want to be then you will. Everyone loves good vibes and if you put them out into the world I'm pretty sure good things will come back around.
