I love autumn. Not only because of the clothes and the makeup but also because of all the fun things that happen; Halloween, my birthday and also Bonfire Night (my favourite night of the year EVER!) The weather change can be a drag but I find myself embracing it; the gorgeous wintery smells start creeping in around this time and everything smells like bonfires and yummy roast dinners!
As autumn is my favourite time of year I thought I'd do a little post about why I love it so much and also how I get through the cold weather and somewhat rainy days!

1 - Autumn Fashion
There's nothing quite like a good autumn wardrobe. It makes you feel prepared. I absolutely hate being cold and because of this, I tend to seriously stock up on jumpers, coats, scarfs, gloves and boots as soon as September comes around. I've already fallen in love with this tartan scarf and black coat from Zara (full post on these HERE). And I'm also loving this sheep skin style coat from Primark. It's so FLUFFY!
You can't talk about autumn without mentioning the gorgeous makeup that's been filling up the high street shelves recently. It's all about the berry lipsticks and dark red nail varnishes for me. And a darker blusher too. I love being able to wear a smokey eye everyday and my coppery/ bronze eyeshadow colours have been helping me do just that (full post on this look HERE). Autumn gives you the perfect excuse to wear colour rich makeup all week long. And let's not forget some seriously fun Halloween inspired eye looks too; my fave!
As soon as the colder months set in I feel a need to socialise and spend time with friends and family. I think it's because there's so much going on this time of the year, it just makes me want to be so much more social! My Birthday is in November and I tend to do things with friends around this time. I also go out for Bonfire night which is a HUGE deal where I'm from! We all get super excited about going out and watching the fireworks in my home town and it's the perfect time to meet up with old friends and see family.
4 - A Good Autumn Playlist
I'm a huge music lover. I would much prefer to put my Spotify playlist on when I'm at home than the TV. Don't get me wrong, I love the X Factor but music just comforts me and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! I like to make regular playlists which I play depending on my mood. I love it when a song comes on and it brings back happy memories of times spent with friends. At the moment I'm loving One Direction "Steal my Girl" (please don't judge me!), Megan Trainor "All About that Base" and Jessie J's "Bang Bang". These songs make me happy every time I hear them and are perfect "getting ready" songs for me!
Although there's lots of fun things happening around this time of the year, it's easy to get down with the weather being so cold and the constant rainy days. I try to keep myself smiling by looking forward to plans I've made with friends and keeping busy. I love writing my blog posts and filming my YouTube videos but I also think it's important to step away from my computer! If your someone who spends a lot of time indoors make sure you venture out and enjoy the crisp sunny days as they are the best!
What do you love most about autumn?
Lots of Love,
