I'm pretty lazy when it comes to my makeup routine during the week. I like something quick and easy, especially before work. Contouring is kept to a bare minimum and highlighter is pretty much non existent to be honest; if it's not vital, it doesn't get applied!
I have a few core makeup items that I genuinely can't do without at the moment. So as well as giving you the link to the video version of this routine HERE, I thought I'd run through a few of my favourite products from the look and explain why they've got a permanent place in my everyday makeup bag:
I wouldn't be an honest blogger if I didn't tell you that I'd actually replaced this with the L'Oreal True Match foundation for my everyday makeup application. Now it's got nothing to do with the fact that it's not a good foundation, it is, it's just quite pricey so I wanted to reserve it for the weekend and special occasions. In this video and picture I am actually using the Double Wear. It's a brilliant foundation. Stays on all day and gives a great natural coverage to the skin.

By far my favourite concealer. Alongside the Myabelline Lumi Touch. This stuff hides all levels of blemishes and dark circles while still remaining blend-able and easy to apply.

I bought this just before Christmas and I swear it's the best eyeshadow purchase I've ever made. The pigmentation of this is just amazing and it's creaminess makes it a dream to blend out. This shade specifically is very easy to wear and can be used as a simple all over the lid colour during the day or vamped up with a dark crease for the evening.

I've worn this pretty much every day since I found it in my makeup collection a few months back. I'm going to be honest I bought it about a year ago while on a huge lipstick binge and I never looked at it again until then. I think this shade is the perfect combination on neutral brown and deep red. Such a wearable shade. The formulation is great too; creamy and matt without being too drying.
I'd say I have an average of 10-15 minutes in the morning to do my makeup, so I can say with confidence that this is a good routine to follow if you're in a rush. The products I've chosen from the look I created are some of my absolute favourites at the moment and ones I know I'll continue to use throughout the year.
