I'm going to be focusing on autumn inspired makeup and fashion over the next few weeks, so I thought I'd start off by showing you my first autumn makeup purchases from Lily Lolo. Now this isn't a brand I've heard of much but I saw them on Feel Unique the other day and thought I'd give them a go.

I bought one blusher and one eyeshadow. The blusher is in a dark pink/ plumb shade called Flushed and the eyeshadow is a glittery purple called Choc Fudge Cake. I wanted to get something a bit different for autumn as I already have a load of copper and brown eye shadows and way too many peachy/ pink blushers.

So let's start with the packaging. It's simple but effective; the pots themselves have a frosted finish which makes them look really high end. I really love the monochrome design on the boxes too! I think there's something really classic about monochrome. The only drawback is the lid; as far as I can tell there's no way to completely close the inside lid so you run the risk of product falling out into the top dip. I think you can kind of see that in the pictures above.

So what about the products themselves? I've not been able to use the eyeshadow yet as it's a bit more of a party shade but the blusher is gorgeous; really highly pigmented and a joy to apply. The only thing I will say is it's important to tap a little of the product off before you brush it over your cheeks; this is a loose blusher which means you end up picking up a lot of product with your brush. The eyeshadow is really highly pigmented and definitely a shade I'm looking forward to using around Christmas. It has a gorgeous iridescent shimmer and quite a dark base to it which makes it seem almost 2 tone. A little goes a really long way too so I can see this lasting a long time!

When it comes to the price I think both products were really reasonable. At £5.99 for the mineral eyeshadow and £7.99 for the blusher you're looking at standard drug store prices. You get a decent amount or your money too!

All in all I'm really impressed with this range and I'll definitely be purchasing
some more next month! You can check the full range on the Feel Unique website HERE.

Have any of you tried products from the Lily Lolo range? I'd love to know what you think if you have :)

Lots of love,
DML
