Florals are on trend in a big way this season. The shops are awash with exotically printed skirts, shorts and scuba trousers and to be honest... I'm a little obsessed! I love bright prints on clothing and I've found it's always been a style I've gravitated towards, especially for summer.

With florals on the brain, I thought it would be the perfect time to show you two of my favourite floral pieces that I'm loving wearing at the moment. My boyfriend and I decided to go exploring one evening after work and the back drop just seemed like the perfect place to take some pictures too!

So, first up we have the floral jeggings from Very. I bought them during a recent online shopping trip which resulted in a huge dent in my bank account but a very excited Sophy when the package arrived at my work! These are so comfy to wear and look great with a white top and neon accessories. In this shoot I decided to team them up with my white peplum top also from Very, and some white patent shoes from Bohoo.

Next we have some floral shorts from New Look. I saw these on a recent shopping trip with my friend Jade and I just had to have them! I personally think these are a little less girly than the jeggings with their neon and blue design. They go so well with my white strappy sandals from Shoezone but I think they'd be perfect for a night out with some bright heels and a white cropped t-shirt too.

I'm wearing my new Primark satchel with both outfits. I managed to find this in the Brighton store the other day after seeing them on their What's New website. I love the grey pastel shade of this plus it goes so well with the majority of my summer outfits. Perfect!

If you're looking to get into the floral trend but not sure how to wear the look then here's some tips from me:

1) Less is more. The floral print alone should be your statement piece so match with plain shades such as black or white.

2) Don't be scared to go bright; the brighter and bolder the print, the better!

3) Florals are just as easy to dress down as they are to dress up. I really love teaming my floral jeggings with an oversized white jumper for weekend shopping trip comfort!

If any of you have a favourite floral print piece then let me know!

Lots of Love,
DML
