Cheeks and Lips - Spring Look Blushes & Lipsticks

Having the sun shining really makes a difference don't you think? Plus it's staying lighter for longer now which can mean only one thing... Summer is just a sniff away! I for one cannot wait to get onto a beach and do absolutely nothing. I have t minus 7 weeks and counting until I head to Portugal... Ah! Excited doesn't even come close.

So enough of the summer holiday talk! Today I'm firmly in Spring mode so I wanted to match a few of my lipsticks with my blushers to create some key spring makeup looks. My makeup collection is still in its infancy really, so my blusher and lipstick collection isn't thaaat hefty but I'm pretty happy with the ones I own.

In pictures 1 & 2 I am wearing a combination of The Makeup Academy's Bubblegum blusher and Revlon's Colourburst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake. This lipstick is my favourite at the moment. My bestie Jade (LeadingLadyBeauty) bought it for me a few months back and I've worn it pretty much every day since. It's really well pigmented and it's lovely and hydrating on your lips. It lasts a decent amount of time too. The perfect lipstick! The blusher is one of 2 I have bought from MUA recently... This blusher is a beautiful bright pink colour and is so heavily pigmented it's unreal! Their blushers are only £1 each too which in my books is a bargain. I think this combination is the most "Spring" like out of all of them. It really makes you feel fresh faced and ready to face the sunshine :)

In picture 3 I'm wearing a combination of Rimmel's Lasting Finish Kate Moss lipstick in Rosetta/ Rouge (colour 19) and Makeup Academy's Bon Bon blusher. I love this lipstick. It's a brilliant all rounder for any time of the year and it has a gorgeous slightly orangey tone to it while still being on the red side. Worn with a minimal eye and this pinky MUA blusher I think this gives a gorgeous Spring time look.

In picture 4 I'm wearing Boujois Bonne Mine Healthy Mix blusher with Rimmel's Lasting Finish 1000 kisses lip tint in Nothing But Nude (colour 700). The blusher is another one of my favourites and the lip tint stays put all day just like it says. The packaging on the balm end of the lipstick isn't too great though so bear that in mind if you decide to purchase it. The tint actually comes out quite dark on a natural lip and can look quite Autumny so I find mixing it with a peachy coloured blush gives more of a Spring look - a combination that's perfect for an evening sitting out in the sunshine!

What's your favourite blush and lipstick combination? Do you have any that you'd recommend?

Lots of Love
