Tenerife Dreaming

Last weekend I headed over to Tenerife with two of my friends, Abbie and Olivia. It was such a welcome break after what I can only describe as a pretty manic few weeks of moving house, festivals and some weird emotional shit that quite frankly made me never want to come back from Spain at all.

I didn't take too many pictures whilst I was away; firstly because I wanted a proper break but also because we were only away for 3 nights in total. If I'd been there longer I'd have dedicated a day or so to outfit shots but this time around it just wasn't feasible. The above two are the best of the few I did take; the bikini shot is outside a gorgeous beach club called Papagayo. We went there a few times whilst we were away and I'd say it was my favourite bar we visited. The second was taken on the roof top of our hotel at their bar called Cafe Del Mar. I was so in love with our hotel! It's called Tigotan Lovers and Friends. It's a weird name for a hotel I know but it really was amazing. The roof top there was gorgeous with an infinity pool and white sun loungers everywhere. It had great views over the sea too.

We had Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights to spend in town. We headed out to the strip on Thursday and Friday and went to a few bars. The main strip definitely isn't what I would call up market but it's so much fun. The bar staff are all super friendly and the music is always good. You get your drunken idiots wherever you go but what I personally loved was the fact there were all different ages there. Being 28 I was a bit worried I'd be surrounded by 18 year olds but that wasn't the case.

Saturday night we were all ridiculously hungover from the night before so we went to the centre of town where all the restaurants are. There's loads of places to choose from food wise including a Hard Rock Hotel if that kind of thing takes your fancy. Everything was reasonably priced and the food we ate out was lovely.

I'm still gutted about coming home. As you guys all know things have been pretty up and down for me over the last 6 months or so and this holiday really could of done with being a few days longer if I'm honest! We had such a good time just relaxing during the day and drinking our body weight in cocktails every evening. We met some lovely people too which definitely made the time away all that more special. I can't wait to go back from another girls holiday soon.
