A few weeks ago the guys over at JD Williams got in contact with me. They wanted me to style some shoes from their summer inspired ankle boot range. I know what you might be thinking... Ankle boots in summer? But I'm telling you they really do have their place. Think boohoo chic at a festival or summer evenings round the campfire. You can't be wearing flip flops all year round if you plan on doing anything besides strolling through your local town or sunning yourself on the beach.
When I was sent the link to the JD Williams website I found lots of gorgeous boots to chose from, but I decided to go for these leather, suede, tan beauties. I've never owned a tan pair of shoes before really and definitely never a pair of boots. I figured they'd look gorgeous with a floaty white dress or a pair of skinny jeans.
Now when it came to styling these bad boys I wasn't entirely sure what to do. I've already shown you the only white dress I own in my previous holiday outfit post so I wanted to mix things up a bit. I decided to create more of a "summer evening" look. I think we can all agree that England has been pretty disappointing weather wise recently and although we've had some beautiful summer days over the last few weeks, the evenings are still pretty chilly past 7pm. I think this cropped top, black skinnies and boots combo works really well for a summer garden party and the hat adds a really chic summer vibe. You won't be freezing your bum off but you'll still look seasonally on trend!
How would you wear these boots?
Lots of Love,
DML
