Outfit of the Day: Blustery Beach Walk

Boyf and I decided to head to the beach near where we live today to have a walk and take some pictures. The weather was absolutely perfect; a little windy but nothing a quick pit stop at the sea side cafe couldn't cure. The sun was shining and there were loads of wind surfers and kite surfers doing flips and jumps on the waves. So cool! I really love the beach in Spring. It's still cold enough to wrap up warm and feel completely wind swept after a stroll but not cold enough to feel like your ears are about so implode with all that blustery cold air.

I really struggle to look cool on walks in cold weather. I'm am definitely a comfort over fashion girl when it comes to weekend outdoors attire but I do find it a little easier to find a balance from Spring onwards. During the winter you can find me wearing my Karimor fleece lined jacket Monday to Sunday which we can all agree is practical but definitely not fashionable. However today I realised it was finally warm enough for me to bust out my favourite bright yellow jacket that one of my friends once told me made me look like Paddington Bear. I'm pretty sure his coat is blue but either way...! I appreciate it's pretty bright and bold and not for everyone but it makes me happy; yellow is such an uplifting colour.

Clothes wise I paired my yellow jacket (from Bershka) with a bright blue pom pom hat, a tartan scarf,  some black skinny jeans, my Topshop sunnies, a cable knit jumper and some simple black ankle boots. I'm afraid none of these items except the sunglasses are actually available in stores anymore, but I have created a list of dupes for you if you're interested in purchasing something similar:

If you'd like to see the Look Book version of this little seaside walk over on my YouTube channel then you can see it HERE. I've dedicated this video to my Grandma who is sadly no longer with us. I spent a lot of my time as a child on this beach with her, having tea and cake at the cafe we visited. I have some lovely memories of those times we spent there and I wanted to make a little something to make sure I never forget.

I hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend guys!
