Clinique's New #FaceForward Campaign

I was recently invited along to a Clinique blogging event at the Brighton Boots store. The event itself was a chance to spend some time using a few of Cliniques classic makeup products and also a few of their new releases. I can't say I've used a lot of their makeup before; as a rule I find myself gravitating more towards their skincare (click HERE to read a review of their Dramatically Different Moisturiser). However I'm always up for trying something new and I love the brand as a whole.

After we'd sat down and ate a cupcake or two the lovely girls at the Brighton Clinique counter gave us a live demo of the products in action. We followed their lead and applied the products on ourselves at the same time which meant we got a real taste for how they would work for us. First impressions say a lot for me and I can honestly say I was super impressed with everything I tried! Here are a few of my top picks from the products I used:

If you're looking for a hydrating, creamy lipstick with lasting power then this range is for you. The formulation is light without being too thin and the colour pay off is amazing! There's something for everyone with their broad selection of shades and the packaging is sleek without being too fussy. My favourite shades from the event were Melon and Poppy.

I never thought of going to Clinique for my foundation but after trying this, I have been completely converted! This foundation is absolutely amazing. It's medium coverage, very buildable and the concealer like texture really helps when targeting problem areas. As soon as they told me it could be used as a concealer I assumed it would be way too thick but it definitely isn't; my skin looked radiant even after a stressful commute home. I'm quite fair and was colour matched to the shade 3.5.

I think these may have been out for a while now. I've seen loads of people rave about how good they are but I haven't had a chance to try them for myself. Firstly I just need to mention the packaging and the "flower" shape of the blusher itself; SO cute! And then there's the formulation; a silky smooth powder with a very slight shimmer. The shades are absolutely gorgeous! My favourites were Melon and Peach.

The Clinique FaceFoward Campaign
After a lovely demonstration and a good rummage through our goodie bags it was time to hear about Cliniques new #FaceFoward campaign which has been centered around three main skincare steps; cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising. Now Clinique as a brand have never advertised using models before (something I only realised when they told us this at the event) however this has all changed with this new campaign. They've chosen 3 "Trailblazers" to advertise their famous skincare ranges and they are:

Tavi Gevinson - a fashion blogger and magazine creator

Margaret Zhang - a writer, stylist and photographer

Hannah Bronfman - a blogger and entrepreneur

The thing I really love about this capaign is the fact they have chosen real women. All three of them are successful and have carved out careers for themselves through hard work and dedication; what fantastic role models! You can read more about Tavi, Margaret, Hannah and the entire FaceForward campaign HERE

Pssst... Clinique are also offering a custom fit skincare kit with any two skincare purchases! I was kindly gifted the Hydration Solution kit and it really is amazing!

Have any of you guys tried any Clinique products recently? If so what did you think?
