Tutorial - 1960's Inspired Makeup

Stills

I thought I'd have a little bit of fun with makeup over the next few weeks. I spend every day wearing pretty much the same kind of thing so sometimes it's nice to mix things up and be creative. Makeup is an art after all and it can be really fun to go outside of the norm and create a completely new look, even if it's just for one day! So with this new found craving for something a little different in mind I decided to re create some classic looks from three of my favourite decades; the 1940's, 50's and 60's.

Vintage fashion is such a passion of mine, so I figured I would combine that passion with my love of makeup and start a little series over on my YouTube channel taking inspiration from the film stars of these three iconic decades. I've started with a 1960's inspired makeup look which I created using the following products:

Foundation - Estee Lauder Double Wear Light in shade 1
Concealer - Maybelline Eye Eraser in Light
Highlighter - Makeup Revolution Highlighting Palette
Blusher - By Rimmel in the shade Rose
Brows - Soap & Glory Archery Pen & L'Oreal Brow Plumper
Eyeshadow (lids) - Makeup Revolution Mono in Base!
Eyeshadow (crease) - Bourjois Smoky Stories (the grey and black)
False Lashes - Eylure Volume number 100
Mascara - Maybelline Lash Sensational
Lipstick - Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro in Game of Mystery

I hope you like this look! Let me know if you've tried creating something similar!
