Outfit of the Day - Cream Tea & Lace

I'm a sucker for anything lace so as soon as I saw this Flora dress from ChiChi London I just knew I had to have it. The style is everything I love in a dress; the a-line skirt, the long sleeves and the general vintage feel. I bought it especially to wear to Glorious Goodwood which is a horse racing event near my home town. It's quite a formal affair so I figured this dress would be perfect!

The dress itself is surprisingly well made. I'm always a little dubious about purchasing lace pieces online; my previous experiences have involved a hell of a lot of bobbling and a good few unwanted holes however the lace in this dress is lovely and sturdy. It holds it's shape well and feels like it can deal with pretty much anything. It's also a reasonable price for the quality; at £75 it certainly won't break the bank and is considerably cheaper than a lot of other dresses I've seen in the same style.

The shoes I'm wearing in these pictures are from Very. Although I love how they look paired with the dress they are actually super uncomfortable which is a shame. I think I might have to dig out my good old wedges for Goodwood as a day at the races involves a lot of time on your feet! The last thing I want is to have my day ruined by saw tootsies.

Overall I'd recommend this dress to anyone looking for a spring/ summer event outfit with that real "wow" factor. If this dress isn't your kind of thing though ChiChi have so many other styles over on their website HERE; I can guarantee you'll find something that you'll love!

Are any of you guys heading to the races this summer? If so I'd love to know what you're planning on wearing!

Lots of Love,
DML
