Outfit of the Day: Countryside Winter Warmers

Today we decided to go for a bit of a stroll around our local park. I find I spend a lot of my time during the weekends in front of my laptop so it was nice to get out and about into the fresh air. Even if it was a little fresher than I was expecting!

When it comes to my outdoor clothing I like to keep it as practical as I can; I hate being cold so it's layers and thick comfy boots for me every time. Being practical certainly doesn't mean you have to scrimp on style though; countryside inspired fashion is one of my favourites and it's so easy to wear.

Today I was actually going into town to do a bit of shopping before we went for a walk so I decided to wear something a little smarter. My Barbour jacket isn't exactly the warmest jacket I own but over the top of a woolly jumper it's actually not too bad. It's certainly a fantastic wind break and super waterproof. I love the Liberty print lining too! The jumper is an old Primark one, I've worn it so much over the years and it's become a bit of an autumn/ winter staple in my wardrobe as it's just so warm. The scarf was a present from the boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary and is from Zara; I'm loving these rug style scarves at the moment they're just so snugly! My boots are from Karimor; my make of choice for my practical all weather clothing. My hat was a present for Christmas and is from a little boutique shop in my home town of Lewes. I love it because it comes down over my ears and keeps them lovely and warm. My bag is from Mulberry (I did a post all about it HERE if you're interested in seeing it in more detail) and my gloves are from H&M.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Lots of Love,
DML
