Bronzed Summer Makeup Look

IMG_1625 IMG_1580 IMG_1603

Since getting back from holiday I've had to change my makeup to compensate for my tan. It's mad how a slight change in skin tone can completely change how you apply your makeup and also the makeup you use! From October - March my skin is incredibly pale but as soon as I go away I go really brown and all of that pale makeup just has to get shelved! I never learn and still haven't bought myself a slightly darker foundation for the summer months so at the moment my bronzer is really taking a hit!

Although I sometimes find it frustrating having to adapt my comfortable makeup routine, I am loving wearing more bronzed tones. I love the healthy look of a naturally bronzed face plus the summer colours on sale at the moment are so lovely! There's some gorgeous rose gold blushers around and the orange toned lipsticks look perfect matched with sun kissed skin.

With all this in mind I wanted to show you the makeup look I'm enjoying wearing the most right now, and what products I'm using to achieve it:

Foundation - Revlon Colorstay in Sand Beige (HERE)
This stuff is great for oily to combination skin and is definitely going to be featuring in my June favourites this month. For me hot days means a shiny face but this stuff really helps me combat that. In my opinion this is the perfect mattifying foundation and will definitely be my summer saviour!

Cover up - Maybelline LUMItouch in Ivory (HERE)
Although I'm wearing a mattifying foundation I still want to achieve that dewy look where I can.  This cover up helps me do just that by providing medium to high coverage with added highlighter. Used in conjunction with the Revlon foundation you're looking at the perfect summer base!

Bronzer - Seventeen Instant Glow in Pink Bronze (HERE)
If you've seen my YouTube videos then you'll know I love this stuff. It's a great value for money product and it's such great quality. I use the two bronze strips for this summer makeup look.

Blusher - Rimmel Wake Me Up in Radiant Rose (HERE)
I love this blusher. It's cream as opposed to powder which isn't something I'd normally prefer but it works so well with this look. Plus it has a slight pearlescent tint to it which gives you that perfect fresh face!

Eye shadow - Makeup Academy palette in Undress Me Too (HERE)
I can't get enough of MUA's pallettes. I've tried other budget brand ones but they just haven't quite cut it. To create my summer smokey eye I use the shade Shy over my entire lid to create a natural base, then I use Tranquil over a third of my lid shading out towards the temple. I then go into the crease with Dreamy and then Obsessed. Ta dah! One bronzed natural look!

Mascara - L'Oreal False Lash Architect
This stuff is just amazing. I thought I'd never find a mascara I love as much as Benefit's Bad Gal Lash mascara but I think I have! And it's cheaper too. Gives you lovely fluffy long looking lashes and stays put all day. My holy grail make up item at the moment.

Eyebrows - Rimmel eye pencil in black/brown (HERE)
Whether it's winter or summer this is my go to brow product. I've tried others and they've never suited my brows as well as this one. The shade is perfect for me and the pencil just fills in my brows better than any powder ever could. I love this stuff all year round!

Lipstick - Revlon Matte in Pink Pout (HERE)
My friend Jade gave this one to me in a recent beauty clear out she did. The colour is quite similar to another shade that Revlon do in their Lip Butter range called Strawberry Shortcake. It's not as bright though so perfect for a more natural look. It also looks great with a tan!

Lots of Love,
